"Kigumi" is a japanese traditionnal wood assembly technique. The wood structures, such as temples, were for centuries built using this technique, mostly in the japanese buddhist architecture, born from the abundance of wood in the country and the high skills of japanese carpenters.

Tables designed and constructed with Roméo Drege, for Kyoto T5 and Whole Love Kyoto's stand during Maison & Objet deisgn fair 2019.
The tables are made using "kigumi", a wood joinery japanese technique, allowing to construct these tables without nails nor screws.
